In Wisconsin, approximately 1 in 7 adults struggle with basic literacy and don’t know where to turn for help. Financial support is crucial in helping provide free literacy classes and essential resources to those in need, toward achieving citizenship, obtaining a driver’s license, and finding employment.

Every donation supports a student and furthers the Fox Valley Literacy goal of sharing the power of literacy to transform lives and enrich the community. Items can be dropped off during office hours, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to
6 p.m. Some items can be ordered online and shipped to Fox Valley Literacy through the Amazon.com Wishlist.

You can make an impact by donating funds, contributing in-kind resources, or making connections to available and relevant resources within your organization and community circles. Every bit of support helps provide free educational services.

A: Monetary donations, as well as supplies, educational materials, and services that can enhance classes and programs are appreciated.

A: Monetary donations can be made through the Fox Valley Literacy website by filling out the form on our Donate page or by visiting our office at 130 E. Franklin St., Appleton, WI. Any amount is greatly appreciated.
Q: Is my donation tax-deductible?
A: Fox Valley Literacy is an independent, registered 501c3 nonprofit organization, therefore your donations may be tax-deductible. We provide a receipt for your records, and your tax advisor can advise you on deductions.

About our mural
Completed in October 2023, our vibrant mural (pictured) by Haitian-born artist, Gregory Frederic, symbolizes hope, resilience, and community. Conceived by our students, tutors, and staff, it brightens downtown Appleton and serves as the inspiration for our year-end campaign---a reminder that together, we build strength and opportunity.
Mr. Frederic is an award winning painter, muralist, and a former English learner who has executed commissions for many organizations, including the Green Bay Packers, Appleton Public Library, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, Austin Straubel Airport as well as many fine art galleries. He teaches various art classes to aspiring artists with disabilities as an instructor for ARTS For ALL Wisconsin and often teaches from his own studio in Green Bay.
